Worri Yallock Farm School

The students delved into the unit Support Ecological Restoration. We began by visiting a site that had been previously planted by Farm School students ten years ago. This was followed by a bike ride around Haining Farm, where the students learned about the environmental significance of the reserve and its relationship to the concepts of ‘conservation’ and ‘ecological restoration’.
We returned to the Farm School for lunch, and taste tested some grapes from our grape vine.

In the afternoon, we took part in a revegetation activity at our wetlands, followed by the completion of some coursework in the air-conditioned classroom.
