Woori Yallock Farm School

The students warmed up with a wood splitting and stacking activity. Prior to taking part in the task, the students participated in a safety induction, relating to the unit Work Safely. Some students also assisted with spreading mulch, contributing to the Support Ecosystem Restoration.

Later in the morning we delved further into the unit Support Ecosystem Restoration by heading out on a local excursion to Haining Farm. We discussed the role of nature reserves in creating and preserving biodiversity. The students took a bike ride around the reserve and observed the changes in the age and structure of the vegetation.
