Woori Yallock Farm School
The day began in the nursery, where some students completed the practical task of potting up indigenous ‘carex’ seedlings. Once established, these plants will be used to revegetate our local environment. This contributes to the units Support Nursery Work and Support Ecosystem Restoration.
This coincided with other students participating in fuel reduction by processing pruned branches through the chipper, relating to the unit Work Safely and Maintain the Workplace.
Next, we went on a mountain biking adventure to Lysterfield Lake Park.
The students navigated their way around the trail network and endured the long climbs. Our efforts were rewarded with fun and fast-flowing descents.
