VCE Success – Senior School Years 11 & 12
Students entering the Senior School at our Mooroolbark Campus will enjoy a superbly resourced young adult learning environment. Academic rigour, initiative and self-discipline are central to life in the VCE years with a cooperative team culture supporting each student’s quest for VCE success.
At Yarra Hills we focus on helping each student to achieve the best possible educational outcome.
Our broad and engaging curriculum caters for a rich diversity of needs which means that Yarra Hill’s students are more likely to study the subjects needed to achieve their personal goals.
In ASPIRE, a framework targeted for Yarra Hills Senior Students, we aim to support our students through the challenging years of senior studies by encouraging students to foster a sense of resilience, whilst also providing set of study skills required for success at Senior School.
Many students achieve university or other tertiary entrance while we also prepare students for entry into the vocation of their choice through programs including Vocational Education and Training (VET), the Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE-VM) and school-based traineeships and apprenticeships (SBAT).
Year 10 students can enhance their ATAR score by undertaking a VCE subject. All year 10 students are encouraged to undertake a VCE subject, and arrangements are made for them to travel to the senior campus if necessary to pursue this opportunity. Similarly, Year 11 students are encouraged to undertake a Year 12 subject.
